Cane Hill, Coulsdon South, Black and White, Various Studies, Entropy and Decay

The series of photos explores the sense of abandonment, entropy and decay in disused spaces. Cane Hill, was a former mental asylum in Surrey/ London, near Coulsdon South, which became abandoned.

Certain influences for this collection included Frederick Wiseman’s Titticut Follies – 1967, a master piece of early realist documentary and cinema Verité pioneering the long uncut and unredacted take.
